20131029-182753.jpg

Dogs can have fun during Halloween too!
What you need: dog collar, hard yellow and black cardboards, black marker, craft knife and glue, headband, velcro, black cape (material).
1- Use your yellow cardboard and cut it into an oval shape with the craft knife.
2- Overlay a cut-out of a bat logo onto the yellow cardboard.
3- Attach it to your dog collar with hot glue.
4- Measure your dog’s neck and determine the size you want for the cape. Cut the material out and attach velcro to the end of the neck piece.
5- Cut pointy bat ear shapes out of cardboard and glue it to the headband.

This isn’t a secret that pop culture drives Halloween costume choices. This year was marked by Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus VMA’s performance. However, I’ve been inspired by another popular character: Daenerys Targaryen (Khaleesi) from Game of Throne.

Mind The Thigh Gap!

Thigh gap is the latest young women obsession. What’s the thigh gap? This is the noticeable space between your upper thighs when you stand with your feet together. Teen girls are influenced by “ideal” (photoshopped) women in the media, they starve themselves to look like those women.

Doctors and nutritionists are very concerned about the phenomenon since this physical feature do not have anything to do with diet or calories burned. If few thin adults women have slender legs and happen to have a thigh gap, fight against nature and morphology is a lost battle.

Indeed, the thigh gap is a preteens physical feature. This is the result of body changes by the time wider hips and pelvis coexist with childhood thighs.

This obsession became a barometer of success in our teen’s mind. Teen girls are proud to post and share their thigh gap on social media. I even found a wikihow website with stupid crazy tips on getting a thigh gap involving recommendations to take birth control pills.

I never and won’t ever have a thigh gap and that’s okay since I don’t plan to become a Victoria’s Secret model or cast as SpongeBob stunt double.

Eat clean and exercise… do not worry about the space between your thighs girlfriends.

Summer trend: Tribal African Prints

By introducing tribal african prints on their catwalks, designers like Cavalli, Versace or Kenzo (but not only) braught TAP in mainstream fashion.
One of the biggest trend this summer is inspired by African heritage and diaspora. Even if the trend is very ethnic, it can be worn by anyone thanks to a variety of cuts and colors. You can shop it for less at Topshop, Asos, Forever 21 or Zara.
